Church Fire

10/16/06: The Seymour Fire Department responded to 90 Pearl Street for a working structure fire. First arriving apparatus reported heavy smoke coming from the United Methodist Church. The Church was built in the late 1800's. A second alarm was dispatched. The Oxford Fire Department provided RIT. The Ansonia Fire Department arrived with an additional Engine and Tower and the Beacon Falls Fire Department provided coverage of the town. The fire was deemed under control after about 2 hours. No injuries were reported and the church was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

 

 

Structure Fire

9/22/06: Working structure fire on Hull Place. Upon arrival found heavy fire on the first floor. Oxford fire was called in for RIT.

 

 

Water Rescue

7/30/06: The Seymour Fire Department was dispatched to a report of people on the rocks of the falls. Upon arrival, two people were found trapped. With help from Marine 20 and the Derby Fire Department both patients where removed from the water and transported to Griffin Hospital.
